The Book
The Book.
The members' website for Executioner's Club. There is no password. Type the email that has your seat, and a sign-in link comes to it. Each phone or computer signs in once, then stays signed in for 90 days.
If that address has a seat, a link is on its way to it. It works once, for thirty minutes. Open it on the phone or computer you want signed in.
No seat yet? Sign up on the front page.
How it works
How the Book works.
The Book is the members' website for Executioner's Club. Your group keeps its weekly record here. This page tells you what happens, and when.
Signing in
- There is no password. You sign in with a link that comes to your email.
- Each link works once. Open it on the phone or computer you want to use, and press "Open the book."
- After that, you do not need the link. Go straight to executioners.club/book. You are already signed in.
- Each phone or computer stays signed in for 90 days after your last visit.
- New phone, new computer, or signed out? Type your email at executioners.club/book. A new link comes in a minute.
Before kickoff
- Kickoff is your group's first meeting. The day, time and place are on your page.
- Before kickoff, fill in your sheet: your photo, a few lines about you, and your word. Everyone in your group reads it.
- Your word is the one thing you are working toward. It must be clear: done or not done.
- At kickoff, the group asks about your word and votes on it.
Every week
- At roll call, you name one step for the coming week, and how it will be measured.
- The step goes into the Book. It shows on your page as "This week's step."
- Do the step.
- Post proof by 11:59 pm Pacific, the night before roll call. Press "Post proof," pick Did or Did not, and write one line.
- Add a photo, a file or a link that shows the work.
- Did not is still a post. Post it, and say plainly why.
- No post by the deadline is a silent week. A silent week is a strike.
Roll call
- Roll call is your group's weekly meeting. The day, time, place and call link are on your page.
- Each name is read in order. You say did or did not, one sentence why, and next week's step.
Strikes
- A silent week is a strike. The Book counts it.
- A "did not" goes to a vote at roll call: was the step practical and achievable? More yes than no, and it is a strike.
- A strike falls off one year after its week.
- Four strikes in twelve months, and you are out for a year. After that, a member must vouch you back in.
The group
- The Roll lists everyone in your group, with a mark for each week: did, did not, or silent.
- Tap a name to read that person's sheet. Tap a mark to see that week's proof.
- On someone's proof, press "Witness" to say you saw it. You can also leave a comment.
- Give advice only when someone asks for it. To ask, tick "I'd like the group's advice" when you post.
- If you have a buddy, that person checks on you midweek. Only your buddy and Deacon see your phone number.
The emails
They come from join@executioners.club. All times are Pacific.
- Two evenings before roll call, 6 pm: your step, and proof is due tomorrow night.
- The deadline evening, 8 pm: a last call, only if you have not posted.
- Roll-call day, 8 am: the Record, a list of what everyone posted that week.
- Two hours before roll call: the call link.
